Celebrating 150 Years!

150th Anniversary of St Michaels’ - Two Special Celebrations

(1) Sunday 28th September, 3.00pm – Mass for the Feast of St Michael

Bishop Larry Duffy will preside at this special Mass, during which a commemorative stone for Archdeacon James McMeel — the parish priest who oversaw the building of St Michael’s — will be blessed.

Priests who have served in the parish will also be invited. Refreshments will follow in the Cathedral Hall (Halls Lane). All are warmly welcome.

(2) Sunday 19th October, 5.00pm – Mass of Enshrinement of St Carlo Acutis Relic

Bishop Donal McKeown, noted for his commitment to youth ministry, will preside at this celebration. Our relic of St Carlo Acutis, received last year, will be permanently enshrined in a new repository beside the Tabernacle.

Parish schools will be represented, and all parishioners are encouraged to attend. This moment of grace invites us to deepen our prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, to which St Carlo dedicated his life.
